 I was in a coffee shop, running away from home　when I heard the news.
Our hero Jeckt, gone.　Vanished into thin air !
My dad must have been his biggest fan,　I knew how sad he'd be.
Heck. we all were that day. "Zanar," I says to myself. "What are you thinking ?"
I went to running straight back home. We sat up talking 'bout Jeckt all night.
My dad andI never talked so much..
Whoa...Didn't mean to reminisce, folks,
Anyway, ten years later,  The Jeckt Memorial Cup tournament is today !
The two teams that have won through to the finals are...of course, the Abes  
from A-East, and the Duggles from C-South,
I know there's  a lot of people out there today to see the star of the Abes !
In just one year, he's become the team's number one player !
He's Jeckt blood, and the new hope of blitzball !　What kind of super play will he show us today?
We will see his father's legendary shot?
I don't think I'm the only one excited here, folks ! 

　家出中のコーヒーショップで俺はそのニュースを聞いた
　みんなのヒーロー・ジェクトが行方不明だって
　俺のおやじジェクトファンの元締めみたいなもんでさ、
　どんなに悲しんでるだろうと思った
　「ザナー、何やってんだ」なんて自分に行ってみたり--
　慌てて家に帰って一晩中ジェクトのことを話し合ったんだよな
　おやじとあんなに話したのは初めてだった
　おっと、思い出話は終わりってか
　さーてあれから10年　今日はジェクト記念カップトーナメント決勝だ
　勝ち残った2チームは、そう東A地区のエイブスと南C地区のダグルス
　大勢のファンがあのエイブスのスターを見るために集まっている
　たったの一年でチームのナンバー１になったアイツ
　ジェクトの血を受け継いだ新しい星
　今夜はどんな妙技を見せてくれるのか！
　伝説のジェクトシュートを見せてくれるのか
　興奮してるのは俺だけじゃないよな！

　　ブリッツボール試合中にシンが現われる

　ザナルカンド破壊後のスタジアム入り口
　　ティーダがアーロンを見つける

[ティーダ]　　Auron !　　（アーロン！）
　　　　　　　　What are you doing here?　　（何してるんだよ！）

[アーロン]　　I was waiting for you.　　（お前を待っていた）

[ティーダ]　　What are you talking about?　　（何言ってるんだよ）

[フェイス]　　　It begins.　　（始まるよ）

[ティーダ]　　　？　（周囲の動きが止まっている事に気づく）

[フェイス]　　　Don't cry.　　（泣かないで）

[ティーダ]　　　What the...?　　（なんだ・・・？）
　　　　　　　　　Hey ! Wait !　　（待てよ！）

[ティーダ]　　Hey, not this way !　　（こっち、ちがうだろ）

[アーロン]　　Look !　　　（おい）

ティーダの視線の先に宙に浮かぶ水求に包まれた巨大なモンスター

[アーロン]　　We called it "Sin."　　　（俺たちは「シン」と呼んでいた）

[ティーダ]　　"Sin"?　　　（「シン」？）

　シンから降ってくるコケラくずに襲われる二人
　アーロン、ティーダに剣を渡す

[アーロン]　　Take it.　　　　（使え）
　　　　　　　　A gift from Jeckt.　　（ジェクトのみやげだ）

[ティーダ]　　My old man?　　　（おやじの？）

[アーロン]　　I hope you know how to use it.　　（使い方を知ってるといいが）

[アーロン]　　These ones don't matter.　　　（こいつらには構うな）
　　　　　　　　We cut through !　　　　（斬り抜ける）

[アーロン]　　Don't bother going after all of them.　　　（全部倒さなくていい）
　　　　　　　　Cut the ones that matter, and run !　　　（邪魔な奴だけ切って走れ）

　2人でフリーウェイを走る

[ティーダ]　　Get out of my town !　　　（俺たちの町から出て行け！）

[アーロン]　　Some can't wait to die.　　　（まとめて片付けてやろう）

[ティーダ]　　What are you laughing at, old man?　　　（何笑ってるんだよ、おやじ！）

[ティーダ]　　Auron ! Let's get out of here !　　　（アーロン、逃げよう！）

[アーロン]　　We're expected.　　（迎えだ）

[ティーダ]　　Huh?　　（は？）

[ティーダ]　　Gimme a break, man !　　　（勘弁してくれよ！）

フリーウェイ上できりなく出てくるコケラくずと戦闘

[アーロン]　　Hmph, this could be bad.　　　　（ふん、手におえんな）
　　　　　　　　That--knock it down !　　　　（おい　--あれを落とすぞ）

[ティーダ]　　What?　　（なんで）

[アーロン]　　Trust me, you'll see.　　　　（おもしろいものを見せてやる）

タンクローリーを落としてそこから脱出する二人

[アーロン]　　Go !　　（行け）

崩壊するフリーウェイから落ちそうになるティーダ
周囲はどんどん怪物に呑み込まれようとしている。

[ティーダ]　　Auron !

アーロン、ティーダの衿を掴んで引き上げ　

[アーロン]　　（上に向かって）　You are sure ?　　　（いいんだな？）　

[アーロン]　　（ティーダに向かって）　This is it.　　　　（これこそが）
　　　　　　　　This is your story.　（これこそがお前の物語だ）
　　　　　　　　It all begins here.　　（すべてがここから始まる）

光の中に呑み込まれ、不思議な空間に浮かぶティーダ

　[ジェクトの声]　　Hey ! Hey !  (おい！　　おい！）

   [ティーダ]         My....old man?　　（オヤジ・・・？）

[ティーダ]　What do you want?　(何しにきたんだよ）

[アーロン]　It was a bad call.　(まずい判断だったな）
　　　　　　Your team lost because of you.　(お前のせいでチームは負けた）

[ティーダ]　You came to say THAT?　(そんなことを言いに来たのか？）

[アーロン]　It's been...ten years.　　(あれからーー10年だ）

[アーロン]　I thought you'd be crying.　（泣いているかと思ってな）

[ティーダ]　Who, me?　（俺が？）

[フェイス]　You cried.　(泣いてたよ）

はっと目覚めるティーダ。火が消えかかっている

[ティーダ]　Hey, wait! Wait!　（おい、待てよ！　消えるなよ！）
　　　　　　Don't go out on me!
　　　　　　Just hold on,　　　(待っててくれ）　　
　　　　　　I'll get more wood!　(燃えるもの持ってくる）

ティーダの前にクリック（モンスター）が現われる

[ティーダ]　Gimme a break...　　(かんべんしてくれーー)

戦闘中開かなかったとびらを破ってマスクをかぶった男たちが入ってくる
その後ろから現われた女性がクリックとの戦闘に参加

[ティーダ]　You on my side? cool!　（味方？　やりぃ！）

戦闘終了

[ティーダ]　Whew! That was close.　　（良かった〜）

ティーダ、男の一人に頭をつかまれ押えられる

[ティーダ]　Hey, lemme go!　(放せよ！）

　 [アルベド族]　 What is this?　　これはなんだ
　　　　　 　　 In human (       ) !　人に化けた魔物だ
　　　　　　　　Y t it is so!　　そうだ
　　　　　　　　We kill it?　　　やっちまうか
　　　　　　　　Wait! What if it is human?　まって！もし人だったら？
　　　　　　　　They  (       )the same in death,　死ねば同じだ
　　　　　　　 　I forbid it.　だめだよ
　　　　　　　　We (    )  it with us.　連れて行く

ティーダ気を失う

ティーダのモノローグ
So I told her everything there was to tell about Zanarkand 
About life there, blitzball and Sin's attack...
and about how Auron and I were engulfed this light.
I just said things as the came to mind,
But I started to wonder.
　　　俺はーー
　　　ありったけのザナルカンドのことを話したんだ
　　　生活、ブリッツボール、「シン」の襲撃ーー
　　　アーロンと一緒に光に呑み込まれたこと
　　　思いついたことを話したんだけど、
　　　不安になってきたんだ

[ティーダ]　Did I say something funny?　（俺、変なこと言ってる？）

[リュック]　You were near Sin.　（「シン」に近づいたんだ…）
　　　　　　Don't worry! You'll be better in no time.（だいじょうぶ　よくなるって！）
　　　　　　They say your head gets funny when Sin is near.
　　　　　　　　（「シン」に近づくと記憶とかが変になるんだって）
　　　　　　Maybe you just had some kind of dream.　（あんたも夢見たいなのみただけだよ）

[ティーダ]　You mean...I'm sick?　（病気ってこと？）

[リュック]　Because of Sin's toxin, year.　（「シン」の毒にやられたんだ）

[ティーダ]　You sure?　　（本気？）

[リュック]　Year, there is no Zanarkand anymore.　（うん　ザナルカンドはもうないからさ） 
　　　　　　Sin destroyed it a thousand years ago.　（1000年前に「シン」が暴れて壊しちゃった）
　　　　　　So no one plays blitzball there.　（だからブリッツボールなんて誰にもできないよ）

[ティーダ]　What do you mean, a thousand years ago?　（どういうことだよ　1000年前って）
　　　　　　But I saw Sin attack Zanarkand !　（俺は「シン」がザナルカンドを襲うのを見たんだ）
　　　　　　You're said that happened a thousand years ago?　（あれが1000年前？）
　　　　　　No way!　（よしてくれよ！）

[リュック]　You said...　　（ええと・・・）

[リュック]　You play blitzball ?　（ブリッツボールの選手なんでしょ？）

[リュック]　You know, you should go to Luca.　（ルカに行ったら？）
　　　　　　Someone might know who you are, 　（あんたの事を知ってる人がいるかもしれないし）
　　　　　　or you might find someone you recognize.　（あんたが知ってる人だっているかもしれない）

[ティーダ]　Luca?　（ルカ？）

[リュック]　Okay, leave it to me!　                （よし、アタシに任せてーー）
　　　　　　I'll get you to Luca, promise!         （ルカに連れて行ってあげる！）
　　　　　　You'd rather stay here?　　           （このままでいいの？）

[リュック]　Okay, I'll tell the others, wait here.　（仲間たちに話してくるから待ってて）
　　　　　　Oh, and one thing.　                         （ああ、もう一つ）
　　　　　　Don't tell anyone you're from Zanarkand, okay?
　　　　　　　　（ザナルカンドから来たなんていわないほうがいいよ）
　　　　　　Yevon says the Zanarkand is a holly place. You might upset someone.
　　　　　　　　（あそこはエボンの聖地だから　怒る人がいるかもしれない）

ティーダのモノローグ

My Zanarkand, some kind of holly place?
Year right, I thought,
Since when?
Yevon? Sin? Luca?
I thought Sin just took me to a faraway place,
that I could back in a day or two.
　　　　　ザナルカンドが？　聖地？
　　　　　ああそうだろうなーー
　　　　　−−いつからだって？
　　　　　エボン？　シン？　ルカ？
　　　　　シンに遠いところに連れて来られただけで
　　　　　すぐに帰れると思ってた

[ティーダ]　But a thousand years into the future?　（1000年先の未来だって？）
　　　　　　No way!　　　（まさか！）

ティーダ目の前の壁を蹴飛ばす。そのとき激しい衝撃が海中から

　　[アルベド族]　Sin!　　（シン）
　　　　　Sin is come!　　（シンが来るぞ）
　　　　　Under us! 　　（真下だ）

ティーダ海中に投げ出される。
